01 · Our story
A garden centre that smells of fresh soil and today's blooms.
Centre fleurs et jardins was founded in 2014, and was handed over to local, passionate entrepreneurs in the winter of 2022. The centre offers a wide selection of annuals, perennials, trees, shrubs, vegetables, herbs, planters and soil.
On top of that, we grow our own fresh fruits and vegetables on site — available for sale. To meet customer requests, we recently started selling cut flowers as a florist around Mother's Day.
Customers are welcomed by a team of qualified, enthusiastic, friendly professionals who share tips and advice to help you build your own little garden oasis.

Lilies, lavender, thyme, hostas, daylilies. Planted once, they come back each year with more presence.

Tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, squash and more — varieties picked for our Laurentians climate. Summer harvest guaranteed.

Fresh herbs
Basil, parsley, chives, rosemary, mint. Hardy plants ready for the kitchen, in pots or in the ground.

Trees and shrubs
Conifers, maples, lilacs, hydrangeas. Trees and shrubs suited to zone 3-4 in the northern Laurentians.

Seeds
Vegetable varieties, annual flowers, bird and bee mixes. For those who start from a single seed.

Soil, mulch, fertilizer, tools, pots and planters. The essentials to start strong and keep going.

Local in-season apples, juices, butters and pies — depending on the harvest from neighbouring orchards. A taste of fall before we close.

The questions we hear most often.

What's the difference between a perennial and an annual?
Perennials live more than two years and can bloom year after year. They have permanent root systems and survive harsh winters — lily, lavender and thyme are good examples. Annuals, on the other hand, have a one-year life cycle. They sprout, bloom, set seed and die in a single season. Poppies, zinnias and cosmos are classic annuals. In a garden, mixing the two gives you both year-after-year structure (perennials) and vivid renewable colour (annuals). - 02
When's the right time to plant my vegetable seedlings?
Wait until night frosts are over. In the Laurentians, the June full moon is usually a good marker — nights are warm enough by then that young plants won't burn. - 03
How much soil do I need for my pot?
It depends on the pot's diameter. Rough guide: · 10 cm : about 0.5 litres · 20 cm : 3 to 4 litres · 30 cm : 9 to 10 litres · 40 cm : 22 to 25 litres · 50 cm : about 55 litres - 04
Are you open year-round?
For now, we're open May through August only. That's our growing season here in the Laurentians — spring, planting, summer and harvest.
